Mondulkiri Itinerary – Nature, Elephants & Indigenous Culture (3 Days / 2 Nights)
Day 1: Arrival in Sen Monorom – Waterfalls & Bunong Culture
Morning:
Arrive in Sen Monorom, capital of Mondulkiri,Check in at a nature lodge or guesthouse.
Welcome drink and short orientation.
Late Morning: Visit the beautiful Bou Sra Waterfall – the most famous waterfall in Cambodia (2 levels).
Stop at viewpoints on the way for panoramic photos of hills and valleys.
Lunch:
Picnic or eat at a local restaurant near Bou Sra with Bunong specialties.
Afternoon: Visit a Bunong ethnic minority village, learn about their animist beliefs, traditional farming, and forest customs.
See traditional longhouses and try some local herbal tea or wine.
Evening: Dinner in Sen Monorom, Optional: cultural dance performance or storytelling (if arranged in advance).

Day 2: Elephant Experience in the Forest
Full Day Activity, spend the day with a responsible elephant sanctuary (such as the Elephant Valley Project or similar).Learn about elephant conservation, ethical tourism, and forest protection.
Walk through the jungle and observe elephants in their natural habitat (no riding).
Support the local Bunong mahout community.
Lunch:
Provided at the sanctuary or packed picnic lunch.
Afternoon: Continue observing elephants or forest trekking (depending on the program).
Return to Sen Monorom by late afternoon.
Evening: Free time to relax or explore local cafés. Optional group reflection or educational discussion.

Day 3: Sunrise View & Departure, early Morning (optional) Drive to the "Sea Forest" viewpoint for sunrise.
Watch the mist float above the endless green hills of Mondulkiri.
Breakfast:
Return for breakfast at the guesthouse or local eatery, Mid-Morning visit the Mondulkiri Project, a community conservation center, or a local market for handmade souvenirs.
Lunch: Final lunch in Sen Monorom. Afternoon, Departure to Phnom Penh, Kratie, or continue to Ratanakiri.
